We pretty much do the same Barry. I played around with the fuel source for awhile, until I realized it always performed better - sometimes dramatically better - on propane. So much for the AES.

We use the spring poles Jim, and they work well. Also, we have the exact same thermometer as the last one in your pictures, but so far we haven't had much luck getting the suction cups to keep it...

Although I didn't measure precisely when it was hot out, we did tow through southern Idaho when the outside temps were about 86F. Upon arriving at our campground the fridge temp was around 36.
