That differs from my experiences, same trailer, same fridge. Maybe eti changed something with the baffles or some such, all I know for sure is the temps rise when I travel. Recovery is much better...

The way it's caulked, as well as the gas line hole, I'd think it's to drain the area as opposed to just the fridge. Guess as long as there is room for water to get by the hose you'd be fine.

It is the drain, one member removed the water catch basin on the back of the fridge and added some tubing to route the condensation to this.

I noticed that when traveling last fall. The fridge was in the upper 40's to low 50's while the freezer was in the low teens. Might be the fridge portion is just too big whereas the freezer is fine....

Mine moves maybe 1/8" but using the dollar bill test it doesn't seem to loose it's seal. I didn't look to see if it adjusts.
