HI Bob,
The end panels are anchored at the top by the rafter & the bottom by whatever I weight it down with, so there isn't much shear or tension applied. The snaps & snads just keep the gaps closed...

The Patty O'Room and new Veranda Room use the awning roller tube as part of the room's structure. The new awning has the roller attached to the trailer instead of on the outboard edge of the awning....
