No reinforcement needed, the Command hooks have a silicone type glue that holds when activated and they release the hold when needed by stretching the adhesive....

Dave, try using plastic bins bought at the dollar store in the medicine chest, the bins stay put because of the door and when opening the contents of the bins stay put.

Just be careful with the opening escape window, that screen will easily pop out. I'd stick to using the other awning windows with the 2-3" opening and maybe the fan on exhaust. I hate to think...
