I guess my eyes are not as good as they used to be, I'm going to try the needle nose plier suggestion, when it stops raining.

I can not seem to get the springs with the tool...

I can not seem to get the springs with the tool to properly attach to the furnace vent holes. The springs are too large to fit without bending.

Those springs are the ones I can not get to...

Those springs are the ones I can not get to attach to the furnace holes, I'm bringing mine with me to the rally, maybe someone with better eyes can help.
