For what it's worth, when ours did that the ignition would click indefinitely. We once didn't realize it had happened, parked at night, and came out the next day to clicking.

Ironically I visited the forum today because of MORE problems with our Dometic fridge.

We've had our Escape only a few months and already it's been in the shop twice (for over four weeks total)...
