Sorry, should have called it the standard MaxAirr fan. Nothing really special, no power vent or remote.. but boy is it loud (whine) on HIGH. The documentation does say it "evens out" or gets quieter...

Okay, so a whole bunch of us say "no noise." Not to question you... but are you absolutely sure it's the surge protector? Like I said, the power fan drove me out of Ten Forward on high.

I don't hear mine at all. Now the power fan... on high... that drove me outside. But, I understand that will quiet down with use.
