I like it Dale. Very smooth, hard to feel the shift points. The truck feels a little more powerful than the 2015 with the same displacement, but that's probably due to the direct and port injection.

By the way, you need to update the truck in your profile details when you get a chance. It still lists your 2015 F150.

I posted them on another forum but strangely, not here. So far it's about the same as our 2015 2.7L Ecoboost.

Not towing: 25 highway, 20 city. These are rough averages.

Towing on Interstates at 65-70: 15.
Towing on secondary highways at 55-60: 16.5.

Have you set up the Pro Trailer backup assist yet? I just got a similar truck and also have a 2015 19' Escape.

I was measuring for the placement of the checkered sticker and the 7" to 22" window from the center of the ball hitch for placing the sticker is very short. I can place the front(?) of the sticker between 7" to 8" from this point but with the electric jack, the top flange of the jack is too wide to place the checkered sticker flat on the frame.

I was wondering if the sticker can be trimmed, or the top flange cut back, or the sticker can overlap the top jack flange.

Larry made a flat plate and attched it to the jack mounting bolts for the sticker.

It works great. Let me know if you would like a picture.

I would like to see the picture. That thought had crossed my mind but I was hoping for a simpler solution.

Larry - I added a bracket similar to yours on my 19 and attempted to set up the Back-up Assist. It sets up fine and works sporadically. However,I keep getting a "sticker not found, consult owners manual" message and have to go through the set up repeatedly. I believe my sticker may be too close to the electric jack and is blocked at times. I am going to try a bigger plate and move it out a few more inches from the jack shaft.

Did you have any issues with your sticker locatio?n

I fabricated a larger bracket to move the sticker further away from the jack and that seemed to work. At least the system was not losing the sticker during my tests after the set up.

Not looking to hijack this thread, but another concern I had with my F150 (in addition to dialing in the back up assist) was an issue that came to light with the brake controller.

Not having any experience with an integrated brake controller, I thought I read up. Did a search on the internet (also read the manual). Found a thread on the F150 forum that suggested Ford was having issues with dealer installed factory units on 2018 trucks (what I have). After reading some 30 odd pages about deep frustration on the part of owners trying to get their's fixed, I thought I'd better run some tests on mine to verify (I pick up my Escape on the 25th). I was somewhat relieved when I was able to adjust the braking gain (+, -) and see the change on my monitor. Thought I'd take a step further and broke out the tester and started poking around at the 7 pin connection.

Verified the brake lights, turn signals and flashers, but wasn't seeing the change I was expecting on what I thought was the brake hot lead. When my wife adjusted the gain (from 0), the voltmeter would go from 0 to about 8 volts right off. No change the rest of the way up. I was seeing 12 volts on everything else. Is this normal? Shouldn't I see increasing voltage as the gain is turned up then top out at 12 volts? I don't have access to a trailer to do a trial run before I leave this Saturday. What am I missing here (or am I just nervous about nothing)?

I have no idea if it works that way Marv. What I can tell you is that the integrated controller works flawlessly on my 2018, just as it did on my 2015. No lag, no lurch, very smooth.

Hope mine works just as well, thanks.

I'd be interested in knowing what you and others with similar trucks get for mileage towing. I'll also post mine after I've put some miles behind me.

Just remember that towing and efficient mpg numbers are inversely proportional

Hi Marv!
Mine is the older 2014 3.5L EcoBoost Supercrew 4x4, and I get 12-13 mpg while pulling the 21’ Escape; 18-19 mpg without pulling the Escape
