We will be departing and heading to the north rim of the Grand Canyon after the rally. My astronomy club hosts the star party from June 1st to the 9th at the lodge which is open to the public at no charge. They have a great campground there but limited spaces if anyone would like to join us get your reservations in with the Park Service. They take reservations starting 6 months in advance. I will have one of my telescopes with me so conidiations permitting I will probably have it set up at least one evening. Come by and introduce yourselves. Ken & Sandy Space 73
Just booked @site 316....will check out your star gazing!

We had not planned to make this years rally due to anticipated family needs, but it looks like we have more flexibility than we had thought.

We signed up and will have our E23Q in site 273. In addition, we showed our 23 to friends and they almost immediately put down a deposit. Their completion date is a few days before the rally. They are signed up so there will likely be at least 2 E23s at the 2024 event.

Pretty prime site, a little surprised that there's any waterfront left. Between you and Johnny Hung I know where the crowds will be gathering for a look see.

Looking forward to seeing them in person. Have they started making any of the twin bed models yet?

Hello ... haven't been here for a while and thought to check if there are any posting for the Osoyoos rally and see that there will be at least one new 23 !! That should be interesting ... we'll be in our 15 parked right beside a new 23 !!

They had a twin bed model in the showroom on Jan 15th. I believe that I heard that the 2 versions had about 50/50 representation so far.

Samuel told me that ours is 6 of 8. Our friends just ordered a walk-around bed.

I was pretty surprised when the registration person told me that she could put us on the water. I might have gotten the last one.

Newbie question:

If an RV site says "Max length 26 feet", does this mean 26' for trailer AND space for the tow vehicle, too? Or does it mean you'd better have a 5-foot long tow vehicle if you own a 21C?

Thanks.

Michael

Michael…

You have hit upon one of life’s more perplexing questions. Conventional wisdom would suggest that the measurement should be for the RV and the vast majority (almost all) of cases I have encountered that indicated a specific length offered plenty of space for the trailer.

I have however found a place or two where the operators were either spatially challenged or they expected visitors to add the tow vehicle to the trailer length when choosing a site.

We almost always call and give the actual length of the trailer.

Hi, Bob.

Under normal circumstances, I would call to ask the operators. However, I'm currently 5500 miles west of the US using a Taiwan-based cellphone number. I try to avoid calling long distance/overseas whenever an email or other form of communication is possible.

So yours is the twin, correct. I, for some reason, thought it too was the queen. Regardless, looking forward to seeing them and meeting up at the rally.

Sorry for the confusion. Ours is a queen. Look forward to meeting, too.

Border Crossing

We already had a trip planned to Spokane WA to visit our son so we just added on the Osoyoos Rally. We have site #224 booked. We have looked over the official sites, but wanting to know if there are there any tips we should be aware of for crossing the borders with a RV & a pet.
Thx, Gadgetman

We are in #25 right across the road from the clubhouse, ready to take in all the fun. Folks are always welcome to stop by when we are there. We will be the ones with an Escape trailer.

This rally is always lots of fun. I have only missed two since the first one in Merit BC, one due to a big bad fall, and one due to truck problems. Both my fault but I got over them.
