Sink Drain Deteriorating

We have the stainless steel sink in our 2011 19. Lately we've noticed the drain is deteriorating i.e. getting very pitted. The drain looks to be made of some sort of pot metal so it's nearly impossible to keep clean once the pitting starts. Anyone know if there are replacement drains made for these sinks that are stainless steel and not the cheap pot metal?

Should be standard. They are typically used as bar sinks. Pull the part and take it to your favorite big box store or hardware store. Lowe’s solved a cracked drain connector for me.
