Thanks you all for the kind words, as I sit here eating some Mahogany smoked meats western beef jerky and going through pics I thought I would post these last pics. The little guy in the bushes came into our campsite and licked the heck out of the barbecue grill, not sure if it was the rib eye steak or the salt and pepper seasoning.

The western states are awesome, California Sierras in particular.
Beautiful photos Tin, thank you for sharing. Can't wait to go back to the Sierras.
I love the California weather, topography and half the people here.

Sierra Nevada
Just returned from the Sierras and already miss it ! time is running out, winter is a coming! it was cold up there.
This was such a spectacular trip as our two sons were able to joined us (Which does not happen as often as it use too). We got in some great fishing and our sons were able to utilize our campsite as their base camp on a three day hiking trip on pct / John Muir trail.
Bear performed great and kept us nice and cozy. The replaced water heater module and refrigerator thermal fuse worked great and did not melt with the fan off while driving. The frig did kick off the first couple of nights once the sun went down and the temperature dropped ( we were @ 8,600 elevation) but by the third night I figured it out and we were good the rest of the trip.
This was the first time utilizing our 105 watt portable solar panel (up until now our 160 watt panel had provided us with all the power we could use and in conjunction with our 1500 watt inverter, the options our great ) due to our campsite being rather shady and it performed great 5 to 6 amps .
Happy Camping
Tin.

Tioga and Sonora Pass closed
Hi all just a heads up Tioga and Sonora Pass closed due to early snow.
"Two Sierra highways, including the one through Yosemite, have been closed by an early snowstorm. Highway 120 (Tioga Road) is closed in both directions Wednesday from Yosemite National Park’s Crane Flat to 3½ miles west of Highway 395 in Lee Vining. The east end of the closure is near the Moraine and Lower Lee Vining campgrounds along Lee Vining Creek. The next trans-Sierra highway to the north, 108 over Sonora Pass, is also closed by snow. Both directions are shut from around the Kennedy Meadows Resort turnoff to the Leavitt Meadows campground, about 8½ miles west of Highway 395."

Exactly, makes me wonder if we are in for another crazy snow year, not that I am complaining I know we need the water and falls were crazy this year.
