Thanks for that link, Donna. I was thinking about him this morning (I am only just now seeing your post). Everyone hold your loved ones close.

My recall of Baglo was a photo of Jim Bennet atop Baglo's Escape 17 with a chop saw.

Sad news. Thanks Donna for your post and the link.

Prior to purchasing our first travel trailer back in 2013, I happened across this Forum. Glenn was one of the experienced members who patiently answered my questions (such as what makes a fiberglass trailer made by Escape a good purchase choice).

I found Glenn to be invariably helpful. I appreciated his humour and his wife’s nickname. Forum members such as Glenn and Donna definitely changed the trajectory of my and my wife’s retirement life!

I recall that Glenn’ son-in-law polished his trailer (pictured on the forum and remember that his daughter and son-in-law borrowed the trailer. Perhaps the trailer is still in the family.

I believe

I'd heard or read that he gave the trailer last year to his daughter & son-in-law.

The Baglo Escape 17 lives on, along with the memory of him.

Fascinating story about him but I'll always remember Glenn for the rhubarb sign.

Sorry to hear that, I enjoyed his posts and tongue in cheek sarcasm that many people didn’t get. Carpe Diem.

Until I read the forum thread, I thought it was referring to this sign in a beautiful area near Haliburton.

Yup, every year his rhubarb outdid mine. Lot's of folks have aspirations, mine was to have bigger and better rhubarb than Glenn.

But, I am guessing you enjoyed eating various things made with it.

I actually talked to baglo in person about rhubarb, being someone who loves the stuff, but he wouldn't give any dish a go, disliking the taste. I even tried suggesting stewed rhubarb with fresh biscuits and ice cream..... nope.

Dang, now I have a craving, and it is but wee buds here right now.

Funny somewhat that his passing is bringing up lots of memories of him.

Hi, my name is Steven and I'm Glenn's son-in-law. I wanted to say Thank you for all the kind words and memories shared. He was a legend and will be missed.

Glenn's 17B legacy continues. Kelsey (daughter) and I will be using the trailer as much as possible.

First photo is Kelsey and his grand kids camping at Alice Lake last summer.

Second photo is when I detailed the 17B with a reflection of Glenn casually drinking beer.

He was simultaneously a sheet of sandpaper and a kind-hearted nice guy. He was being missed after he ceased posting here a while back, and he will continue to be missed.

Some of his photography skills must have rubbed off on you.

Thanks for posting.

Best wishes to you and the family during this difficult time.

Hi, Steven. Our sincere condolences to your family for your loss. Please feel free to post back here often - and if you ever want to answer a member’s question by asking if they read the manual you’ll get a fond chuckle from a good many of us remembering Glenn.
