Garbage!
Where does everyone keep their trash can in the 21C? I do not want to place it at the end of the bed!

Below the sink double doors on the single door lower compartment, a 6 g plastic container fits nicely....right next to the plumbing pipe.

We keep the trash can in the bath and pull it out when cleaning up after meals.

Oh, we have one there also, in addition to the sink one. Then another larger one outside which we empty the 2 inside into.

Our solution is a simple white 2 gallon bucket.
It moves around as needed... It usually gets stored either in the bathroom or comes outside with us. At night it gets tucked under the table so the bathroom is free.
I like multipurpose items. A bucket is often useful to have around, and this one is sturdy enough that I can flip it upside and stand on it if I need a little extra reach.

Hi harleyrk, I know you said you didn't want to put your trash can at the foot of the bed.... but we do! I share this only because it works so well for us. I like the size and the lid on this one is nice and secure and easily opens with your foot - nice when cooking inside. Before going to bed, for bathroom access, we slide it out, in front of the big cabinet at night. In the morning, after the bed is made, slides back in place - so handy and a perfect fit. Here's a link with pics and info of ours: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/f...tml#post289787. Good luck with your quest! -Bea

We have a 5.0TA, I made a slide out trash container out of PVC board for under the sink. My wife likes it.

I have a small trash can that fits under the sink, in front of the hose, that I picked up at an RV dealer's store. It's the perfect size for that spot and I empty it out once a day. I put a small black, merchandise plastic bag in it. I originally tried putting it on the door, but the door wasn't thick enough for the screw attachment. I use paper towels to clean off my dishes and pans and the trash can is small enough to fit on the flip up at the end of the counter. It stays there while I fix meals as there's usually food debris that goes in there, as well as the paper towels for clean up.
The space at the foot of the bed is where I usually stack my cases of Vuka energy drink.

We bought two small trash bins, the kind one might put in the bathroom, 5” wide x 10.5” long. One is for recycling, the other for trash. A common plastic grocery sack makes a good fitting liner. They both go side by side inside the double doors under the sink on the floor. They are narrow enough that there is room to stuff extra plastic bags and other odds and ends in front of them

Since I travel solo, and don't mind the garbage can out in the open, I use one of these frames & grocery shopping bags. Gives me an excuse to go for a walk to the dumpsters every evening after dinner. I sits on the floor at the fit of the bed.
Of course finding bags may become a problem. While I feel less guilty since I'm making a second use of the plastic bags, CA & now NY have banned them and the paper bag replacements don't fit all that well.

Jon,
Just buy the 10-12 gal trash bags which would probably work great for that. They’ll hold more, don’t leak like those grocery bags do and you’ll have a drawstring to close them.
Where did you find the frame deal at ?
