I doubt "most" vehicles have them, but RF proximity unlock/start systems certainly are available in the package-of-toys version of most models, and standard in many.

Not just pickups - I think the physical key is a normal feature of these systems, but it certainly can be awkward to get out of the fob. It might be worth considering this system even if one had to get a separate conventional key... it would still be one key for several locks, and it would work in the tug even though it would normally not be used that way.

BOLT's supported vehicles page; it says that a 2015 Altima uses the Nissan key which they support.
