Thanks Alan. Much appreciated. Yes, we had the original sent to us too. We had no problem paying the tax and license fees. We have our license plate now. Heading to Eugene, Oregon in May to pick up the 21 NE. They taxed us on the base price. We think that they don't tax the upgrades because they would likely have to check each optional item to determine if would be taxable or not. Doing so might take hours!

Sorry, something in my forum settings and I didn't see the notification for this. Did you get this all squared away? It was Escape finance who got us the C of O, after everything is paid up. We started with a pdf copy, but that was a no go at the DMV. Had to get the original sent to us for $50. Took that to the DMV along with bill of sale and got plates before we picked up. Actually pretty painless (except for the sales tax fees). They only charged us for tax on the base price, not all the upgrades. Saw someone else mention this, although it's surprising they don't try and go for the maximum amount. Not really much else.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your comments regarding the Certificate of Origin. I just read your post - very helpful. We live in Maplewood and will be picking up our 21 NE in Eugene, OR in early May. We need to register our trailer and pay the sales tax. We sat in front of our laptops for a couple of hours last night trying to figure out the process. The information from the State of MN is sparse, to say the least! May I please ask who you contacted at Escape to request the Certificate of Origin? Did you pay the sales tax when you registered the trailer? And did you need to provide proof of insurance for the trailer and/or the tow vehicle?
Thanks again. Hope to meet you at some point.
