I think our Toyota Highlander has a towing capacity of 3500 and we have experenced no problems at all towing our 17B. We used to tow it with a Ford Ranger and that was fine as well.
The toyota has an automatic and more speeds that the ranger standard had. With the Ranger on mountains we had to fight between 2nd and 3rd gear a lot. With the Highlander I can just put it in 3rd and it works fine.
There are lots of people who tow 17's with Toyota RAVs and are quite happy.

I have a 2017 Jeep Trailhawk with a tow capacity of 4500 lbs. Think it will tow the 17b safely ?
