Alan, I remembered your photo with that great fish, so when I saw a recent post about going to a park in late September, I hurried to see what wonderful place in Colo. you were going to... So the Colorado people go to Utah, and us poor Az folks are dying to get to Colo. Maybe the grass always does look greener someplace else. We are making our first big trip with a trailer around Sept 20. We like to fish, dispersed camping would be great (have a big lab) and have no idea where to go. Did see a posting on Casita about NE of Durango, they had a great looking spot, all alone about 8000'. We are in Phoenix area, if you could spare us some advice would be grateful. We are in our late 70's and need to use wisdom to avoid the flash flood areas after the fires in the San Juan, and altitudes over 8500' might cause an issue. Think we will bring some canned oxygen as have read it helps some. I hope this is not an imposition or worse inappropriate - if it is, just tell me to bugger off. Oh, read that a phone does not work in lots of areas, is it the same with a 2 meter. Thank you, Marilyn Pinkerton

We pickup our 21 on June 8th! At that time we will return to BC and make our way north via Alaska Marine Highway, (reservations made) to Alaska and return via land. Our local county DVM agreed to a 2 month temp license, so we also have it covered. Any suggestions on your part? A little scary, but we'll make it up as we go. Still have to purchase insurance, our state farm agent was not very helpful. Trying out the name "Last Resort II". Have to see if it fits.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

We are the Strasser's , who looked at your 21 in Arvada. Ours will be ready May 21. We like to ask how you handled your registration. Our county, Custer, tells us they will not give us any license, temp or permanent till we actually bring the trailer for them to verify. No matter if we have the VIN, the bill of sale, and the MSO (manufacturer's statement or origin). Being that we want to travel in BC and up to Alaska before returning the miles to CO, we are stumped. Did you encounter similar issues, or did you have yours delivered?
