Hello Dave, I have a 2019 21C. Very happy with it. After three seasons and about 8,500 miles I want to check/repack the bearings. A friend (very capable mechanic) has agreed to help/guide me. He indicated that about the only thing we'll need are grease and grease seals. Can you advise what size/spec grease seals I would require for the job? I follow your comments whenever they appear and find them both informative and entertaining, hence my reachout to you. Thanks much. Henk

    Hi Dave,

Thought it would be better to DM than clutter up the thread. Anyway, I grew up in Omaha and did a fair amount of hiking up and down the Missouri River Bluffs including right where you lived at Lewis & Clark! I helped build and managed the largest bicycle 'shop' in the midwest in Omaha, The Bike Rack, and when mountain bikes came on the scene in early '80's we used to ride the same places including up and down river from Lewis & Clark...great times & memories.

I moved to Reno in 1996 to purchase a bike shop but the deal went sour and I ended up in the copier business of all things. I fell in love with Nevada's you surely know our land here is about 90% public accessible compared to Nebraska's 6%!

Maybe one of these days/years our paths will cross!

Glad you got a trailer. Iím sure it will be all you hoped. We bought both of ours second hand and I truly believe that the work the previous owner did on them made them better than factory. The 21 we have we got in 2017 and itís been nearly flawless since we got it. Normal wear items and a few small parts and thatís about it. We will be going out next Sunday for several days.
    Looking forward to it

Hello again Iowa Dave. This is a note to let you know we found a 2020 E21C which we have purchased so you can take us off your call list for help in locating one. Thank you for being willing to help us out. See you on the forum.

Hello Iowa Dave from John Kliewer in North Newton, KS. I am a Casita owner and new to the Escape forum. We are looking for a 21C and will likely be loaning $2000 interest free to Escape Trailers for two years just to get in line. Meanwhile we are on the hunt for a good used one. I noticed that you made an offer to let MrLynn know if you have heard of one. After you have done that favor the MrLynn, I wonder if you would kindly let me know of any quality trailers that you are aware are for sale.

Howdy Dave— Sorry for not responding. I got distracted or something and forgot about your generous answer to my query about your avatar. Been through more ups and downs pursuing trailers than I would have imagined, between two fellows who told me they were selling, then decided not to, and other misadventures (latest in my 'Slim Pickins' thread).

I greatly appreciate your offer to keep me in mind if you hear of any E19s or E21s (especially a 21C) and especially to open your door if we needed a resting place chasing trailers in your neck of the woods. I'm planning to keep my eyes open for more Escapes, but at this point we may go astray again. I'm thinking 'Airstream'.

Dave, I'm curious about the two E19s in the garage. Your garage? Want to sell one? They're in short supply these days. /Lynn

Thanks for the picture. I hadn’t followed that thread. I have several Iowa flags and some
US flags. I have about 30 WWII 48 star flags that they aided to put up in a park where I worked. There was no identification on them but I couldn’t throw them away when I was told to. I used to coordinate flag disposal ceremonies when I was into Boy Scouts.
Thanks for the picture. I liked Governor Ray. I never had any time for Branstad and certainly not Covid Kim.

    Hi Dave,
Like you, we tow with a 2018 Highlander XLE. I saw on a post a while back that you were able to put a full sized spare in the place where the donut spare goes. Did you have to do any modifications to make it fit? We often are in state parks here in Colorado that have less than easy access should we get a flat. A full-sized spare seems to be a no-brainer, but it would be nice to put it under the vehicle rather than in the rear where it would take up enormous room. I'm looking for any how-I-did-it information before I go try to make it happen.
    thanks very much,
    Catherine (aka, Outwiththedogs).
