Yes the tongue weight is around 450 to 475. The WDH adds 80 lbs to that.

The hitch is very well built, strong, quiet. If I had a lighter vehicle or a heavier trailer it would be worth it.

I tow my 17B with a Silverado pickup, 4x4 with Fiberglass topper on the box. Since purchase of the Escape in 2019 I’ve towed without a WDH, just a regular hitch with a slightly extended ball.
