I don't think there is any conspiracy against diesels by the EPA; after all, most of the heavier (Ford Super Duty, GM & Ram HD) pickups sold here are diesels, and VW and others sell a range of diesel...

Don't hold your breath... a diesel Tundra seems more likely to arrive before a diesel Tacoma (or Hilux). In any case, it's a matter of marketing decisions, so nothing is entirely predictable.

I have to wonder how much of this is the extra trailer length (from pin to axle), unrelated to the number of axles or type of suspension... but none of this has much to do with the original tow...
