The control panel (blue light) runs on 12 volt regardless of what power source is chosen for cooling.

Agreed. Something is wrong. The blue light should not be going off. Sounds like you are losing 12 volt to the fridge as the control is run by 12 volt regardless of what power source you have it on....

If the Maxx fan is on exhaust and there are not enough windows open to keep the trailer from being in a negative pressure it has been found that it will suck the cooling out of the fridge primarily...
