There wasn't any wiring there. The power source comes from the fan about 4' away. It's possible to carefully push a stiff wire along about the ceiling vinyl and pull the wires over.

It is possible to retro-fit a light in a new location.

Both Jim B. and I retro-fitted lights over the dinette in our 19s.

Note my favorite coffee close at hand. :)
