Not under the sink, that area remains unchanged. There is about a 4' long space over the wheel wells, as well as a smaller space just inside the door.

The area under the furnace is a good storage...

Nothing to stop you from adding one now. And while you're at it add a couple of doors to open up other wasted spaces. :) You can buy door and drawer fronts from ETI.
