ETI just drilled a hole in the vertical side of my 21 behind an upper cabinet over the nightstand, mounted the antenna there (with some gaskets.) Never had a leak issue.

New mast

I replaced the little 6 inch stubby antenna Escape provided with on a bit over a foot long and it greatly helped reception. Just unscrewed the old one and screwed on the new one from the outside. ...
