I agree. Every truck owner I talk too says there is a market for a mid-size diesel Tacoma in the US, and they all wonder why it's not available here. Conversion? Cost prohibitive and complicated.

Yeah, the hype can be hard to decipher. But, GM insiders are saying in multiple interviews that the I-4 diesel (which has already been proven internationally) won't be an option until the 2016 model...

Thanks for the tip on the Colorado/Canyon. If the production model looks anything like the one on their site, I'm VERY interested. It will fit in our garage, get 26 MPG (estimated) and tow 7000 lbs!...
