I did not remove the max fan to replace the part...

I did not remove the max fan to replace the part as it seemed to add a lot of work to the project. It took maybe 1/2 hr to do the replacement with the fan still in the roof.

Thanks for the tip. I ordered the part from etrailer. Way cheaper than replacing the whole unit.

Max fan, rebuild or replace

On our most recent trip, we stopped for the night and when we started to open the max fan, there were some metal pieces on the screen below the blade. They were lightweight metal and had quite a bit...
