I'd consider going this route if I hadn't already spent $1000 on the one on the roof. For how little we use it it's not worth the upgrade. Impressive job.

Where's the converter in a 19? do you have an inverter? Just wondering if there might be some electrical limitation to where you put the batteries.

If I tried that trip it'd have to have spikes off it to Massachusetts every month for grandkids birthdays and such, wonder how much that would add to the trip.

Just for giggles I checked the db level in the trailer with the Dometic, 65ish on low, 68/70ish on high.

Just what I was thinking. If you haven't already you might look into reinforcing the cabinet to shell mount as well as the strength of the cabinet bottom.

Don't know if it'd be the same, but I've heard the down side to using the heating element in the Dometics AC is that you have to run the noisy blower. Would be nice to know how loud the proposed AC...

Says it's 47db, did you check the Dometic?

What the amperage draw? is that what they call MCA?
