I think we are talking about different solutions. The Hydrocaps don't use any tubing. They are designed to "capture" the water that boils off & return it to the cell, thus requiring less refilling....

I tried the Hydrocaps, and while it is likely they extended the time between needing to add water, the problem I had is they were very difficult to remove to check water levels. I gave up on them...
