On the older RM2510 I was able to run my wires...

On the older RM2510 I was able to run my wires out the back wall with the thermistor. Then I hooked up to the 12V terminal block which has constant power. Works great.

Have you seen these? Much better than the battery operated ones out there but you need to find a good source of 12V power....

Yes, the stock Dometic fan kits typically have a thermostatic switch that comes on when the condenser air behind the fridge gets above 130F.
