Jim: This is what was ordered by another member and worked. I wired through without the fuse. Maybe I should rethink that....

Not sure where you tested voltage, but it might be the small thermal fuse that is inline on the wiring taped to the motor. This will burn out if the fan is turned on but is not popped up and opened...
