Some did keep the same pipe size but just rearranged for both valves to face forward. My set up also increased the gray line from 1-1/2” to 2” starting at the tank with an eccentric fitting to 3”...

I followed the lead of a few others and increased the gray line drain to 2”. Drains nicely. Couple this with elevating the passenger side on a block and drains even better....
