Glad you got it worked out. Those pump motors can go bad but thankfully it seems pretty rare overall. Had one seize in a marine application but that is a much harsher environment.

Not sure. I do know from reading the Shurflo literature that a pressure setting higher than the bypass setting will cause the pump to run continuously but that doesn’t sound like your issue.

Is it possible that your pressure and bypass settings might be too close? This may help for pump adjustment if you have the Shurflo 4008. It is not in the Shurflo literature.
