Pat nice work on your fan. There is bracing within the wall. My wiring went over the bath shell then over the wall and down inside the wardrobe then through the wall and connected with wiring at back...

The hole in the wardrobe wall and the bath wall were just large enough to feed the wiring through, make connections and stuff it all back through the hole to reside in the wall cavity....
