If I recall, some of us had issues with the awning not retracting all the way, flush to the case.
Reace instructions were to loosen these metal blocks and adjust or spread them out to make it taut...

If one looks closely at the 3rd picture in post #334 that space below the 4th cubby is available. I cut the opening and trimmed it out and it's handy for slippers or shoes and accessible right inside...

You will see some extra space once the cubbies are removed. I added an extra cubby at the bottom for shoes, just a matter of cutting another hole and finishing the edges.

Would not worry, you are only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Chilliwack. Think of those in southern USA or elsewhere, but Escape has built a reputation and continues to uphold it.
