I found one of these on lying the ground, while pumping gas. Works like a charm....mine is in black though....I believe it is a hair tie back?

I have been using a thick rubber band or a elastic hairband found on the pavement. Works like a charm keeping that lid tight on the connection.

I place a large rubber band around the cover and 7 pin receptacle to keep it tight....my tab is plastic and it locks behind the raised tab on the trailer power cord.
