Tin, Do you have the optional fan option, if so there is a switch in the refer compartment that can be used to turn on/off the fan if need be.

I have had no issue with the RM2554 cooling, yet. It has only been on while less than 80 degrees. Will let you know when I venture out in hot weather on way to Osoyoos.
