Duh, I had it upside down! Works great now. Took me more than ten minutes but not difficult. Mine matches my car, but not my graphics, those are a little harder to change to red!

Shrinkage of what? Metal or band? Not that I can tell. It just gets stiff and pops out after the first inch. Old one came out easily but appears more flexible.

I am going to have to wait for warmer temps this afternoon. I can soften the band but the moment it touches the cold metal it stiffens up again.

I have my red trim. But looked at the existing piece and some kind of epoxy or silicone was added at the ends. Any guess as to why? I haven't tried removing anything yet- waiting for my pristinely...
