whoops!

So it turned out the 120 volt power was working, I plugged a lamp into various outlets to test it. Then - I toggled the battery disconnect switch to the on position and the 12 volt system worked! ...

yes that is engaged. When I plug the house current back into the trailer it no longer works either - the fuses and breakers seem to be OK - wires on the surge protector seem to be OK

no electrical power

I just unplugged the trailer to take it up and park it, and the 12 volt system did not work. I plugged it back in to the electric line from the house and no that does not work either. The breakers...
