I think most minivans would be wide enough to fit a twin-sized inflatable mattress, maybe even a double. And most are now coming with the seats that can be folded down and stored in the floor which...

They probably don't want to bother with the accompanying hassle that it would bring.
There's people out there that have said towing ANYTHING with a minivan isn't a good idea, whether it is properly...

I looked through his list and he had maybe 15 or so 19's listed. From my quick scan I'd say about 80% were over 3500lbs by at least...

Just a point to make in terms of the weight inside the van affecting the tow rating.

The issue of the "real world" numbers is definitely something that I'm ignorant of.
I'm thinking in my head of the additional equipment that isn't included in that ~ 2500lb figure - awning, spare...

I have taken the weights of the occupants and our gear inside the van into account - but just estimates based on past cross-country trips. Granted with the trailer, the amount and weight of stuff...

The van already has a tranny cooler. I guess I could get a larger unit, but I think the benefit of doing that would probably be minimal...

Some of the 19's did come under the 3500# mark, but most seemed to be just below 4000#.
