The only time I have a problem with not being able to fully open the rear hatch is when I need something that's in the rear compartment that's under the floor. I usually have something piled on top...

I should mention that I went up the Coquihalla at 90 kph and that I had a hard time keeping under 100 kph on the flats. A lighter foot, and no pontoon boat would increase mileage.

Just back from our latest excursion, from Vancouver to Merritt over the Coquihalla and back.

We had a full load. Water and propane topped up and a large pontoon boat on top of the RAV.
