also, for things like boiling water for coffee, that 9000 btu flame is likely larger than your kettle, so most of that heat will go to waste.

p.s. someone talked about increasing the size of the holes in the burner, you'd also need to increase the size of the gas orifice AND the air intakes to match so you get the right amount of gas+air...

the atwood/wedgewood 3-burner stove on top of our oven seems quite reasonable, I just had mine all apart...
