Hi: gbaglo... I keep the bottle of Gin/Vermouth in the freezer... 1oz. Vermouth to 25 oz. of Gin. I like mine dirty so 1 tbsp of Olive juice+ 2 Olives in the glass makes it so!!! Alf

Hi: fudge_brownie... It would probably not be enough to ensure the end of the hose is immersed in water. The cup has a slot that the hose is supposed to be slid into. This reminds me I need to go out...

Hi: fgunderson... The water cup no only collects condensation but also acts as an air dam to prevent warm air entering the fridge box, through the drain pipe, while under tow. Alf
