Re: Bike Rack

Finally found a reasonably priced (89.00 at Dicks Sporting Goods) that will fit with the spare tire mounted. Not really pleased with the tie downs, but easily remedied. Made by Graber, it's the Hitchrack 3. Should do the trick. I'd like to have the first one that Derk showed, but at $400 for a 2 rack, it's a little pricey for occasional use.

Re: Bike Rack

With a magnifying glass you may be able to see the Teton Mountain range as a back drop. I have fond memories of my younger years looking down over the Jackson Hole from the top of the Grand Teton.

The older I get, the better I was...

Post that picture Edgar, so we can see it better. Love that "saying" too, "the older I get, the better I was..." : - ) I'll have to remember that for my birthday the end of the month!

Re: Bike Rack

I sent this to Tammy as a Calendar option but don't think it's that good. Hazy morning.

Doug, maybe you could use this in case you need an alibi some time.

Re: Bike Rack

Back to BIKE RACKS - boy can we get off track : - )
I don't know what I was thinking, but the answer to the question: What if I have a great bike rack, but it won't fit on my Escape because of the spare tire sticking out (original question above) Answer: No, don't get a new rack (like I did - oh well, my son can use it for his family), but get an EXTENSION!!! A short 7" extension is perfect to clear the spare, and a LOT cheaper than a new bike rack. Check it out at http://www.etrailer.com/pc-EXTENDER~HE06.htm
Extensions available for 1 1/4" and 2" receivers
