Do 5.0 TA's have a rear hitch?

I know some trailers do (our Parkliner does), but was wondering about the 5.0 TA.

Thanks!

Frank

Yes. I think late 2014 it changed from an option to standard. Weight limit 150lbs.

If you didn't notice it in the 5.0TA Features list, that may be because it is not intended for towing and so it is not called a "hitch":
Quote:
2″ Bike Rack Receiver (150lb Capacity)
It is now standard equipment on all Escape models.

Thanks Brian, and yes, for some reason I missed it. All we would want it for is our two bikes.

Us too, frank. And no more. But NSFTIMHO.

Strangely, Scamp swore that the similar 2"er on the back of the 19'er was rated for 400#. We ran with a heavy recumbent rack, a tandem, electric recumbent, and a single recumbent. Even without battery and seats, I'm sure it all came to over 150#. We put ~19,000 miles on it B4 selling it. But that being said, not arguing with Escape. We'll be leaving one recumbent off from now on.

AND, can't remember now if the high tail lights are standard or optional. But you'll want them...

The standard Features list, under Electrical, includes:
Quote:
Rear Upper Brake/Signal Lights
I think they became standard on all models except the 17 Foot at least a couple of years ago. Wiring is needed to the upper corners for clearance lights on the wider-body models anyway, so the upper stop and signal lamps are easy to include.
