A medium-duty commercial truck, most frequently a Freightliner M2 or older FL-60 (upfitted by someone like SportChassis). Barry was probably joking, but these are quite common for big recreational fifth-wheels and actually can be the right tug for some people. This is just a scaled-up version of our current discussion: the really big stuff is not needed for safety, or right for everyone.

I have the perfect solution for that Jim. Aluminum body = no rust.

Except for the frame! True, frame rust is usually less of a problem than body rust, but owners of aluminum-bodied trucks are not immune to rust issues; Land Rover owners can confirm that.

Perfect - I've always wanted to own a Mack. I've alway loved their hood ornament.

Airstreams have issues with the environment also, corrosion under the finish coat.

We don't have any long term results of Ford's 'no body rust' claims, since the trucks are so new, but your point is valid - other aluminum body vehicles are a fair indication. Ford claims however that their new aluminum alloy is better. Time will tell.

I still remember seeing faint remainders of Budweiser labels on the hoods of GM Vegas
as the water based paint peeled off. I am sure Ford has a better idea.

The 2.7L. Lots of power, tows easy and the mileage is decent.

This guy found the right tug for his needs. It was a truck retired from his business fleet converted to tow his little 5th wheel trailer. Yes, I think that is a Mack - Big Mack. The decision was an easy one for him, he went big!
They load up a couple of quads on the deck and head out to the boonies to get away from it all. Peace River Country, northern BC.

I prefer a one stack Mack with a window out the back.

B61 Thermodyne. 707 Gas the quadraplex transmission was something to see winding that gas engine up and being shifted with both hands while my Dad steered with his belly. 3 miles to the gallon, course gas was only 28 cents. I was just a kid

That's actually not uncommon. Not something you see everyday, but nothing new... truck size, conversion to a single drive axle, deck with quads (or a UTV, or a Smart fortwo, whatever). Even with only that one axle, it's still oversized and probably too stiff to be ideal for that little 10-ton trailer with less than 3 tons of pin weight... and what do you do with that big sleeper, when you're towing your accommodation? It's not good seating space for the family that might be along for the trip (given the number of potential beds in a toybox trailer like that).

Silly you! That's the bedroom for the person that snores the loudest and goes to sleep the quickest!
That way the other person can stay up later, read longer and eat snacks as needed.

The doghouse!
That would be my bed... because I'm the one who admits to snoring.
