Sure. But who want to spend camping time to do grocery shopping? I know I don't.

If crossing into Canada, best read this:

It's how you pick up some local flavour.

After returning from the last trip, I was trying to figure out why I had to unload so much food. I swear if we were ever were completely trapped in our trailer, we could probably survive a few months.

Of course, the kids screaming would probably be able to alert all rescue personnel within a 100 mile radius, so it's probably not much of a concern.

Crossing back and forth

We purchased potatoes in Canada that we picked out of a bin. They were not pre bagged. We had three left over when we came back into the U.S A . Since they had some dirt on them and weren't washed, they were not allowed. The guy also said the same was true with, carrots, onions, and other root crops. With the bird flu raging, we did not even attempt any eggs. The US customs guy was good to deal with. He couldn't find the spuds on his own, Rita had to show him. He about passed out when I shook his hand and told him we appreciated the job they were doing. I think it had been a while since someone they had "detained" thanked him and sincerely shook his hand. Course once I got back in the Highlander I said to Rita, "Hey look kids, I got some nice spuds off a dumb tourist today."
Anything for a laugh.
Dave

Crossing back and forth.

Hi: Iowa Dave... Now you know the "Dirt" on Canadian potatoes. LoL A few years ago we lost our entire crop of English style cucumbers to blight. I think it came airborne across Lake Erie. The Emerald Ash borer migrated over too even with all the bans on moving firewood.
Sure hope Ya'll have fun at the rally. Sorry we had to cancel out!!! Alf

Ash Borer

It appears to me that regardless of how much work is done to prohibit the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer it will eventually ineffective.
Which is a shame a lot of the cultivars on white ash, blue ash and even some of the greens made pretty nice trees.
I cut one down for my daughter this afternoon. All I can say is Your Ash is History.

You said it Alf. Seems like any time of day the 401 was bumper to bumper this week. Yesterday it took me 45 minutes to go 16 km! Yikes. I do better in New York City.
