Robert:
Twin Otter buzzing the forest fire lookout tower, filled with leering smokejumpers hoping to catch a sleepy, skimpily clad female lookout on their way to who knows what. Sorry boys, she's with me.

When I was in flight school at the University of Illinois, classmates and I would run outside whenever the P51 Mustang that a local Dr owned would take off. The sound of that Rolls-Royce Merlin V-12 when he powered it up for take off was amazing.

Hi Alf
I like my silence too. Can't say I enjoy the Onan all that much. We sure like our 150 W
Panel and dual sixes. We don't need much.
At Niagara I'll show you my latest concept on filling fresh water tank when there's water in the C.G but not at the site. (Teaser).

Oh man you figured it out, she really likes
It when the transmission funnel I got her flips over and gets her shoes and socks wet. I offered to get her some new rubber boots but can't remember just what she said.

Enough P-51's, Kubota's, one cylinder boat engines and the sounds of silence. The rally is getting close, I just checked and the four loops of campsites at Thomson Causeway are nearly filled. I do not believe all 121 are filled with attendees at the rally but it looks like we will have plenty of company. There are some spots for those of you sitting on the fence. On Saturday we will have an open house on trailers from 12-3. This will be followed by the famous Lugnuts Contest and happy hour, or maybe the other way around. There is a potluck dinner at 5:30. Come for the day, stay in a local motel, bring your tent. It looks like a big showing this year and you will enjoy the comradery.

As long as you've been doing those 12 ounce curls you ought to be prepared any feat of strength. The trick is not putting her all on one roll, you got to have an ace in the hole.

In retirement, most all hours are Happy Hours, so indeed much more practiced!

Another new experience

Well, we signed up for the rally! I'm so excited to participate, and meet some of the great people of this group, especially those who have offered so much advice and information. Also looking forward to seeing the modifications people have done to their Escapes.

The entire campground is almost totally filled, so we were lucky to even get a spot. And I believe there may be only five or six campsites left on the main island. We are on the opposite side of the main loop, across the little pond in the middle, so I don't know how far away we actually are from the main group. But we'll find you!
Anyway, we are so looking forward to this experience!
See you there!

You have a great location, if you are on the island everything is easy walking distance. Most activities will take place on the river front. And no, it does not smell like carp. It smells like river.

Look forward to meeting you.

Big River

Hmmm.
The river smells like history, like commerce, like fun, and yes there is sometimes the faint odor of that two fisted back alley brawler who never heard of the Marquis of Queensbury. That tackle smashing rascal who can burn your thumb where he makes a savage run and finally nourishes the angler who is not a picky eater and respects the bones of Sir Carpahan as the king of tough guys.
Carpe Carpe ( seize the carp )

Sadly, we will be cancelling our site for the rally (#103) today as we've decided that too many things, i.e. work, are getting in the way of the rally weekend. We plan to come visit on Saturday but simply cannot do the whole weekend. We've really been looking forward to this, so thankfully Thomson isn't too far to come for a visit!

We are enroute to Chilliwack now (Wyoming/Montana border) and will arrive in Lynden, Wa either Saturday or Sunday. We hit a glitch in our plans, seems that several KOA do not allow dogs in their cabins. We have had to make several stop adjustments.
We have a Wednesday pick up scheduled but according to the pictures received yesterday it may be ready a day or two earlier.
We then plan on hot tailing it back to make the rally either late Friday or Saturday with Prairie Schooner, the 2016 2nd Gen Escape 19. Hoping we do not repeat the experience someone else mentioned over on FGRV about the park ranger's customer service, as we maybe arriving after hours.
Will update once we start our trek.
