Trailer and car hitched together in driveway--breakfast and coffee then hit the rainy trail.....
Oh well, we have jackets and hoods and we aren't in a tent!!

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Vivian & I are sitting under the awning of Escapei at KOA Brighton, Ont. It's sunny today.....forecast rain tomorrow. Just down the way is an older couple in a 13' Trillium...but they aren' really the fiberglass rally type....just enjoying their trailer their way. That's kool.
Sure wish we could have hung arround BC for the Merritt Rally. It would be nice to be among a group of like minded people...sharing tips, stories, food and fun. Ye all have a great time and remember, there are now a few Escapes on the eastern part of the country...maybe an eastern rally is a consideration for the future.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Well we're still here at Claybanks, probably only about 5 or 6 Escapes left. We had a great 1st annual Escape Rally! Tammy and Reace did a wonderful job hosting the event. We had good and plentiful food for last night's dinner and this morning's breakfast potlucks. There were lots of door prizes and we met many people whom we hope to see again at future gatherings.
I probably shouldn't even mention this, as Tammy and Reace shouldn't have to be on duty 24/7, but we had a mishap with our table supports on the way here and Reace had them fixed before the Meet and Greet Friday night! They may not be getting rich, but Tammy and Reace have the most loyal and satisfied customers you could find anywhere. A couple of Nash trailer owners stopped by the RV park yesterday, wanting to see a 19 footer and we gladly showed ours and talked it up better than any salesperson could!
The site doesn't seem to be taking my photos right now; just had a couple of park photos showing many Escapes...

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Cheryl:
It was great meeting you & Bruce. I know Bruce is totally going to dig Fly Fishing up there!
But let me use this as a shameless segue.. If those of you who took photos at the rally could send me your favorite, I was planning on putting them all together into a short movie. If would like me to include your photos of the rally just PM me and I'll give you my email address (so you can send them easier..)
The Rally was Liana & mine first one and we had a blast!! Everyone was very nice and it was great to meet people face to face.. I must admit Liana wanted to "adopt" Fin, Dirk's dog..
I echo what Cheryl said, Tammy & Reace really went all out making everyone feel like they we're part of their family.. Truly a memorable time for all that attended..
Thanks Tammy & Reace!!

Thanks, Jeff! I didn't take many shots, but maybe I'll send you the one of you and Liana at breakfast...
These just give an idea of the RV park filled with Escapes.

Wow - that is very cool to see all those pretty Escapes in one place. I wish we could have been there.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Lovely photos and a gorgeous sunny day too. And as Eric says, so delicious to see all those Escapes together. Ian and I agree about Finn JeffZ. What a guy! If Escapes keep getting born at this rate, you will need to rent a whole Provincial Park for the next rally!
Hi to you all from Vermont, Jenny

What joy Rease and Tammy must have had as they walked around and saw the fruit of their labors! Congratulations R&T!
Wish we could have been there

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
A huge thank you to Tammy and Reace and everyone who attended the first annual Escape Rally. What an awesome opportunity to meet people, see the things that folks have done to adapt their trailers, and the food - need I say anything about the food? Fantastic. Even the weather was good (slightly chilly, but not enough to slow down Escapers).
Fin also enjoyed meeting many fans.
We're very much looking forward to Rally number 2.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Brian, great pics, especially the panorama!!!! Wish Hokie had been parked right next to any one of those other Escapes, or that funky Airstream for that matter : - ) See a huge "u-drive-em" in the background, I'll bet his eyes were wide to see all those Escapes!!!!!!
Looking forward to seeing more pics

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Thanks Tammy & Reace for all your efforts to make this a great first Escape Rally! We enjoyed meeting all those we met, and seeing how others have made their trailers their own. Its was awesome to see so many Escapes and Escapees in one place. Thanks to those who are posting pictures, as Curtis & I forgot our camera . Reace made the rounds on Saturday, checking in with folks and seeing how things were going with their trailers, offering help or advice. Thanks Reace, you and Tammy are a pleasure to do business with and we wish you continued success with your trailer creations !

Just got home a bit ago. We had a blast at the meet. So many fun and interesting people. The food was fantastic too. Thanks to Tammy for putting it all together, and Reace for coming with her.
Looking forward to next year already.

Re: Escape Rally in Merritt, BC
Dan, not sure where you got an idea like that, but it is pretty much true. Not much into wasting napkins and dirtying plates.
Alf, I have to admit a small degree of disappointment. No green jello salad at all.
