Ignore list

After following the 2wd vs 4wd nonsense I was happy to find the "Ignore List".

If you're not interested in something, feel free to move on to another topic. Certainly, a thread entitled "What they did before 4 wheel drive was available…" could safely be ignored by someone not interested in vehicles.

Remember, if you don't read everything, you won't know who to put on your ignore list.

Where is the "Ignore List" to be found? Sounds very useful.

I think the topic became more of a 'who can be more pedantic' contest and in the end the topic had very little if anything to do with Escape trailers. Sure it could be safely ignored but so could a topic on zoo animals but once again that would have very little to do with Escape trailers.

In the user's Control Panel (use the "User CP" link on the green menu bar right under the thread title), down the left side in the "Settings & Options" list you'll find Edit Ignore List.

Oh, wait, the Ignore List has nothing to do with Escape trailers... maybe I should delete this post

The threads are often hijacked by members of the Escape Forum that do not own Escape trailers. We would all benefit from posts that are factual and reflect our experiences with the Escape trailers that we use.

But you are well on your way, Donna. Just airing your desires over the last few years warrants your participation.

This site is for the benefit of anyone with an interest in purchasing an Escape trailer.

As far as I know, the only requirement is that people treat one another civilly.
Some topics - guns and politics - tend to end up as flame wars so members are encouraged to avoid those.
And, now that the BC Lions are out of the playoffs, we should also avoid sports.

Who ever said that this forum should be exclusive to Escape owners? I for one am very appreciative of the contributions of many posters to this site who do not happen to be Escape owners. Being an Escape owner is a matter of choice and financial circumstances, and is in no way related to the ability of that person to make intelligent or valuable contributions to this site. Although many members on this forum would likely concede that purchasing an Escape was an intelligent decision.

One of the few I have made in recent years.

Mea Culpa Mea Culpa
This was poorly worded and did not express my intent. My inference was not exclusion. I will refrain from further attempts to do so.

If some felt that my posting was pedantic or technical I am sorry you felt that way. My experience in other forums has allowed a discussion of this kind, those who weren't interested simply ignored those conversations. It appears that the majority were interested in something as there were over 1000 views. If someone cares to read the posts they will have a general overview of the pros and cons of tow vehicle drive systems. As this is a trailer forum tow vehicles are relevant.

For the record after the "are you stuck" I had stopped posting as there was an impasse and then the "So in conclusion ..." comment which I took at face value. I find it interesting that the same person did not contribute to any discussion on the thread.

Brian and I are amiably continuing this discussion and other things automotive related via private email.

Dave

I'm new here, so please excuse the question if it's out of order, but who's Brian?
