And that can be a problem. As even a wire transfer can take a day or two as others have stated in this and other threads, A minor overage isn't a problem to anyone as being under isn't always a problem. It's just that I can see constantly chasing that under payment.

bummer for them...going forward might be a real bummer also if one has paid but not picked up a trailer and the next morning waking up and reading the news that someone with a pen just implemented a tariff on all imports from Canada! ..certainly praying it won't happen.....
as long as they are talking tariffs a safer strategy might be to not pay till a few days before its due (completion) and pick it up on completion or get it shipped across the border asap!

This saddens me to hear, but why would anyone order a luxury item like an Escape trailer (or anything else for that matter) if they are operating "close to the bone"?

A tariff on any form of vehicle? I really doubt that would ever happen, with the trade difference in vehicle heavily outweighed in the favour of Americans.
